A downloadable game

The core aspects of an RPG are simplified, with the goal of creating a cohesive and strategic gameplay loop. We then do the same with another genre or game element, and we fuse the two together. This provides various ways to enjoy the game, while retaining a sense of familiarity in it’s core RPG aspects.

The world of Ariador is filled with Heroes, and like players, Heroes began as Legends. Legends act as a starting point, based on classic RPG archetypes such as Magic Damage Dealer or Melee tank. As players level up and complete quests, they will receive new abilities and equipment to augment their abilities, allowing them to evolve their Legends into something that will fit their unique playstyle.

Pacing is planned to be a few levels below a button mashing ARPG. We aim to strike a fine line between action filled fast paced combat and carefully thought out strategies.We want players to think about their decisions, but not in a way that slows combat. In order to reinforce this design philosophy, we have decided to have horizontal progression. This means that skill will play a much larger role then levels and equipment.
